Even my doctor told me I need to quit, which will be soon hopefully, because it is such a toxic work environment with an extremely unhealthy work/life balance. So you really never get a day off with no BKC communication. BKC makes their field employees work on their paid holidays, nights, weekends, and days off. When you are hired, you are told about company holidays ect, but none of them are observed. They literally expect you to be at your phone, email, or in a BK 24/7 even on days off. A Burger King sign in the US has gone viral after disgruntled staff used it to hang up their notice over 'crazy' working conditions. The main reason why I hate this company and can't wait to leave, is the work/life balance and micromanagement. That’s right, for the last eight months of 2022, Burger King is giving you the chance to get a weekly fix free fried potatoes. If this also rings true for you, you’ll want to check out Burger King’s new weekly free fries deal for the rest of the year. I personally witnessed someone get a write-up terminating them and they were so emotional and crying they didn't read it before signing, so they didn't realize the manager who had them sign it actually faked details in the write up to ensure they could deny them unemployment. Fries are pretty good all on their own, but when you throw the word free in front of them they only get that much better. But before then, they will try to give you a write up so you don't get unemployment. and of course it failed because according them it was your fault, never mind the fact that it was a bad plan from conception.įorget criticizing any poor choices made by the company, just pointing out the fact that an idea doesn't seem like it will be successful (and usually isn't), is enough for them to berate you and tell you that you are not a team player, your head is not in the game, and then try to fire you. No one knows what they are doing and instead just place blame on their direct reports because the corporation is so messed up that they change their minds and policies everyday, leaving you to pick up the mess, and then get yelled at or made to feel incompetent because the plan THEY CREATED failed. Just Google sexual harassment and Burger King, the rap sheet is longer than the US Constitution. It is like a "good ole boys club" where co-workers and superiors (mostly men) feel they can talk to you in any manner they please whether it be talking down to you, cursing at you, or sexually harassing you. The people in this company are extremely disrespectful. Salaries may seem okay, but when you actually work here, a work/life balance is non-existent so you are working or connected to work via phone and email 24/7. Where do I begin? The pay is NOT good in comparison to the work you do.
